@denversummit_fc inaugural match shot for @theixsports 🩵 It was truly an incredible experience to witness 63,004 fans (a new @nwsl attendance record!) show out for women’s sports in Colorado. I’ve been lucky enough to call this state my second home my entire life and having the opportunity to be a part of this historic day is not lost on me as someone who has seen so much talent come out of this state without a professional women’s sports team to show for it. In honor of USC’s upset win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament today, here are some of my favorite shots of the Trojans from covering the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis for @theixsports . The stars were out on Friday night for a Centennial League battle between up-and-coming Smoky Hill, led by junior Ari Boyd (team-high 17 pts), and last season’s 5A state champions, the Mullen Mustangs, led by junior Makenzie Jones (game-high 23 pts). It was great to catch a high school matchup here in Denver!

Not my usual content, but I wanted to share these photos of my incredible mom after her 1.2 mile open water swim in the Saratoga Passage of Whidbey Island yesterday. After five years of swimming all 365 days in Lake Washington (often with no wetsuit!), she and her swimming buddy completed their longest swim to date and I couldn’t be more proud of them!
